This post is part of a new series entitled ‘Picture Perfect’, published because of my wish to highlight some beautiful travel shots from around the world which didn’t quite make it into regular blog posts or which tell a story on their own and need few words, if any, to describe them.
Sometimes us frequent travellers are so busy flying across the globe that we forget about the treasures which we have back home, and which people fly across the world to see. Today, I’m posting a series of shots of Mdina, a medieval city perched on a cliff and filled with beautiful buildings and pretty details. And the view from up there is not bad either.

I always love your wide open spaces shots- you capture the space and depth so well. With this post, I also really like your attention to detail with the door photos. Great post!
Hi Jade,
Happy belated Christmas and upcoming New Year. I actually wish I could shoot more landscapes, but point and shoot cameras are not that great for that. They are fantastic for detail, especially good ones, and frankly, I do love detail shots more than generic, landscape ones. I think that those kind of photos really capture a place! I am having a lot of fun photographing Malta with fresh eyes.
